COSCE today publishes the DECIDES Report on monitoring and analysis of the scientific policies announced and implemented by the Government during 2019.

Science policies, which include science funding, encompass many other cross-cutting aspects of public policy. Its analysis is essential to evaluate the commitment of any government action to science, the basis of prosperity, competitiveness and well-being of societies in the 21st century.

The 2019 Report highlights the little political path that the Ministry of Science has had, the precarious situation of the State Research Agency, which must urgently adapt to the law, and the lack of political will to initiate a sustained and sustainable effort in terms of economic and human resources, to reactivate the science, technology and innovation system.

The report accompanies the analyzes with proposals and recommendations to place science policies at the center of public policies.
